Orienteering is a sport and activity for all generations, equally attractive to both adults and children, both individuals and groups. Competitors, with the help of a map and a compass, should find a certain number of control points on the field in the shortest possible time, in the order as drawn on the map. At all times, the competitors must know where they are, and of course, based on their knowledge and experience in reading the map, make a decision about which direction they will move in order to go around the entire course as quickly as possible and find all the control points. Orienteering is an increasingly popular activity within team building or incentive travel because it encourages resourcefulness, thinking and navigation skills that can later be used in team or individual work in a random environment. Mountaineering club "Tornik" deals with the organization of orienteering activities and competitions for individuals and organized groups, and there is the possibility of organizing these activities for children as well.
